ROSEMEAD -- A shootout between the passengers in two cars early Sunday morning ended in a fiery crash with one man dead, another seriously
wounded.
L.A. County Sheriff's Deputy Lillian Peck tells KTLA the shooting
happened just after 2:30a.m. in the 5800 block of East Garvey Ave.
One victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was transported to a local hospital.
Witnesses say the passengers of two cars driving on East Garvey Ave started shooting at each other.
One of the cars crashed and caught fire at Willard Ave. The driver of that car was burned beyond recognition.
An autopsy will determine if he died in the fire or was first shot to death.
